Hey Hey!
Sorry for the lack of posts... had a bit of an interesting week, which I don't need to bore you with, you just gotta know it's been pretty shit. Anyway, on with a new week, and a new freshness for the blog. Some top new mixes from three of my favourite producers of the past 6 months... all with a lot of new material. Get down!
First up is Redlight and a short segment I've taken from his most recent show on In New 1xtra DJs We Trust on BBC 1xtra, from last week. Lots of new, unreleased material from Redlight himself, and a new tune from Benga. Some of the tunes featured are from his Lobster Boy EP, which you can catch from all the decent download stores. Also not featured in this mix, but released last week is Redlight's new single Stupid, featuring Roses Gabor.
It's a fantastic single which you can grab from practically everywhere, but I'd recommend Play.com... as you can get it for just 70p :D. I've also embedded the video below as well. Good to see Roses, finally getting the exposure she deserves!
Redlight - Weepers (feat Dynamite MC)
Redlight - Kid Soldiers
Redlight - Untitled
Redlight - Feels So Good (feat Redskin, Dread & Zaniah)
Redlight - Give Me The Funk

Redlight - Love Sick
Redlight - Get Down (feat Ben Westbeech)

Redlight needs to release some of these other tunes... Give Me The Funk and Love Sick are stompin riddims, as is Get Down, make it happen sir!
Next up we have Audiofun, and a fantastic new mix for April from him... you may remember our feature on Audiofun a couple of months ago in the run up to the release of his debut EP on Southern Fried Records, titled the Sirens EP, which was also featured on the front page of Beatport.
Well he's back with a brand new Factory EP ready to drop on Southern Fried next month. I will keep you posted on that, but for now, download this mix and enjoy!

Finally, we have one of my favourite labels around at the moment, Top Billin. Responsible for one of the best EP releases of the year to date in my opinion, with their Club Cheval EP, featuring Sam Tiba, Myd and Canblaster.
Formed in the mid noughties in Helsinki, Top Billin have made their name with a series a quirky remixes, mashups and re-inventions of old classics and newer (slightly shit to begin with, but made a lot better!) cuts from the more urban spectrum of things.
They've also been running a club night in the city since then, and have hosted international big guns such as Scottie B, DJ Ayres and Tittsworth. Having caught the eye of a number of producers since then, they soon turned to releasing their own material, and in the past 18 months have gained some what of a cult following the world over. With an uncanny eye at spotting that home grown underground talent, Top Billin's more recent releases have been firm favourites with me, and with Sharkslayer on board last year, solidified themselves as a force to be reckoned with. 2010 is going to be a huge year for them, and just a few days ago they stuck up their 2010 Megamix for your ears. 95 minutes of awesomeness, don't miss out!

Mix Monday #12
Took me a while to get together the mixes this week... spent far too long in bed on Sunday. Went to Matter on Saturday night, got dragged along to some Skins party, didn't know what to expect, but tickets were £3, Voddy Redbulls were £2.50 and Zinc was playing.... so who can refuse that... especially when he finished his set with 20 minutes of solid Jungle vibes... win much!
Anyway onto this weeks golden nuggets... and a lot of hot exclusives from Nic Sarno here with new cuts from Jack Beats (actually awesome), AC Slater, Sam Tiba (you need to check this tune out), Myd and Nic himself. Just under an hour of tropical bass and rainforest beats for all the family. That Jack Beats tune is madness.
Douster - Punani ft. Spoek Mathambo (Dub Version)
Funkin Matt - Zee!
Act Yo Age - Song For Nona (Savage Skulls Rmx)
Kid Kayo - Too Saxy
Myd - Rwall
Sam Tiba - Barbie Weed
Jack Beats - Revolution
Crookers - Cooler Couleur ft. Yelle (AC Slater Rmx)
Switch - A Bit Patchy (Alvaro's A Bit Latin Mix)
Boris Dlugosch - Bangkok (Roska Rmx)
The Bulgarian - Midnight Light (Kink Ghetto Mix)
Tom Piper/Ryan Riback - ? (Jackinori & The Dutch Radder Rmx)
Jesse Rose - Non Stop (Dub Mix)
Savage Skulls & Douster - Bad Gal (Phra Rmx)
Crookers - We Love Animals ft. Soulwax & Mixhell (Nic Sarno Rmx)
Vandalism - Throw Your Hands Up (Angger Dimas Rmx)
Partysquad - Pull Up
Partysquad - Crazy Funky Style
French Fries - Predador (Tomb Crew Rmx)
Next up is Supra1... we're massive fans of everything Supra1 have done in the past, and their new direction has been a very pleasent addition to my ears. They're remixes of Drop The Lime's Devil's Eyes and Mumdance & Brodinski's Eurostarr have both been top notch. In this latest mix for The Fat! Club you can catch Brackles' take on their latest offering titled I Still Believe.
Egyptrixx - Phones
Dva - Ganja
Zinc - Wile Out ft. Ms Dynamite
Brackles & Shortstuff - Pipey D
Brodinski & Mumdance - Eurostarr (Supra1 Remix)
Supra1 - I Still Believe (Brackles Remix)

Terror Danjah & Dok - Code Morse
Breakage - Hard ft. Newham Generals & David Rodigan
Kamikaze - Ghetto Kyote
Desto - Cold VIP
Numan - Code Four
James Blake - Air & Lack Thereof
To finish off here's something more along the chilled route, a new mix from one of my favourite producers out there, Bomb The Bass known to many as Tim Simenon. If you're not familiar with this producer, then I suggest you stick your head inside a Piñata, so we can all take pops at you. Bomb The Bass came to light back in 1987 with his No. 2 hit Beat Dis... helping to almost single handedly usher in DJ culture over night and was responsible for on of the most iconic images in clubland... The Yellow Smiley Face. Yes, pretty damn big. I was lucky enough to be given the honour of reviewing his last album Future Chaos a couple of years ago, and it's good to see him at work again so soon, and promoting his latest release, Back To Light, his new 10 track LP, produced in conjunction with Gui Boratto. An interesting pairing none the less, and since I've not reviewed an album for quite a while, expect one on Bomb The Bass in the next week or so, it's been long overdue on this blog. You can also grab a FREE mp3 from the album if you head over the album's official site... HERE.
