SqueakyBleeps #004 - Cavner

This week I am very proud to bring you the fourth installment in our exclusive mix series, this week from one of my favourite up and coming producers, possibly in the world at the moment.

Squeaky Bleeps presents to you... Cavner.

If you like your techno, deep, dark and brash... to the point, bassline heavy, evolving over time and space, then Cavner will show you how it is done.

Over the past year I've slowly brought you Cavner's amazing productions, and we're very proud to bring you a mix of epic proportions that goes hand in hand with his studio work.
Any promoters out there... please get onto Canver (aka Dan Pitts) and book him immediately, I promise you won't be disappointed.

Club Candy

Hope you all had a great weekend, I ended up spending one night back home in Dartford testing out my mate Robs' new floorstanding speakers, and fooooook was it just a weeeee bit fun hehe. Then the second, Halloween, was spent with the same people in Reading as my mate Mike was DJ'ing at a wee student halls party. Apple bobbing and drinks games aplenty... tittt was guuud, if you catch my drift ;)!
Some really big tunes coming out at the moment with Proxy and Jack Beats releasing new music, but here's a few free tunes including a banger from Crookers! peace. 320k a-plenty!

Congorock & Crookers - Sbombers
After a year of hate and banter at the expense of the Crookers... I am glad to say they are definitely back and with one hell of an almighty bang! I've been a fan of Congorock as well for some time and its a real pleasure to see them collaborating on a release that is 100% legitimately FREE! This shit be bannnging blud!

Black Eyed Peas - I Got A Feelin (Nick Sandoval's Dont Forget The Bass Re-Fix)
Yes, yes I know it's the bloody Black Eyed Peas, but DJ veteran Nick has done a really superb job here giving it a some new funk and a new edge. Bigups and expect a feature on this guy! coming later in the week!

Cavner - Springbok
A great new track here from my main man Cavner, also known as Dan Pitts, who I introduced to you a couple of months ago. He's been hard on the production lately and I think this is the pick of the bunch! Bounce and style in abundance.

Pyramid - Get Down
Hot, free release from the one and only Pyramid here who I've been a big fan of since their inception last year when they made big noise with their debut 12" Wickedest Combination/The System was released on the mighty Funkatech Records. Lots and lots of bass and a fine hook to keep you kids quiet for almost eight minutes.

Major Lazer - Hold The Line (dMon Remix)

Probably the 5000th remix of ML, but this one I'm really digging. Everything this guy churns out always makes me smile and this is absolutely no exception. Please get your mitts onto it!

Introducting... Cavner

Today I want to introduce you to a great up and coming DJ/Producer by the name of Cavner (Dan Pitts) who I've had the pleasure of playing/partying with in the recent past. He graduated from my university (UCA) last year and has now set his sights on scoring some well deserved gigs around the country.
He's hit me up with an array of super hot techno productions and a new mixtape that truly speaks for itself.

First up is Supernova an 8 minute droning monster of a tune. If you're a fan of pumping but melodic beats then look no further than this. Think Tiga splashed with the trancey influences of the Chemical Brothers' Battle Weapon 8, and you end up with this dark, but spiralling, galloping, hypnotic masterpiece that is currenly on a very regularly repeat for me.

Next up is a journey into a new dimension. I first heard this about a couple of months ago after Dan played it at our student union. It's a long effort, but if your willing to give it a go, its the lead synth that your taken away by, as it soars and jolts through your system, as if someone is sticking a rather pleasurable knife into your spine and twisting it round just for the fun of it.
Please make a new edit of this tune Dan... it has some serious potential in my view.

This sounds to me like a slight variation on the synth used in Dirty Oven, but with a very clever percussive element underneath. Frustration and paranoya are words that come to me when I listen to this track. As if Dan is trying to release his emotions in the music, The perfect track begin closing a set with.

Dan has also recently finished a new mixtape, which is ready to download... you can grab it over at his soundcloud or from the link below, had a bang out with it last night... its very subtle for the first 20 minutes, building very nicely until the pumping beauty begins and ensues until the climatic ending, get onto this! Please also check out his other tunes, and leave some feedback. I urge any promoters get in touch with Cavner asap, a huge certain talent for the future!
