Squeaky Bleeps Awards Shortlists...

Now, this isn't exactly a post to be taken too seriously and were certainly not thinking of holding some massive annual awards thing where we ask you to vote and act all anal about who we think made the biggest tune and biggest remix and who are the dons of bla bla, and bla bla bla. Followed by some massive bum licking to get more readers. However, we are men, which means we have an obsession and an OCD for quantifying everything.

Me and Ben are going to try and be a little descriptive about why we've chosen each tune or individual for each award, but try not to take them too seriously. It's more a way of us trying to venture out a do a little bit of Journalism, rather than casual blogging... something that often gets confusing in the modern era of Web 2.0. Nonetheless, we present to you the Squeaky Bleeps Awards.

How it works is me and Ben both each select three entrants for each category and then over the next two to three weeks we'll listen and research each others choices and then come up with a winner... in the following categories: Best Original Production, Best Remix, Best Album, Best Producer, Best Remixer, Best DJ, Best Label, Best Mix, Best Club Night and finally in a testament to the glorious Beatport, Most Forward Thinking Individual. In the case of Best DJ we can only choose DJs that we have physically seen perform as Live or as a DJ Set in the last year... I hope that makes everything clear for you. Finally here are our nominations...
