Nathan C Artist Feature

Today I want to introduce to you a little fellow I've been a fan of for quite a few months now after Pete Tong gave me a heads up to him on his Radio 1 show back in January. Oh and bonus! He's just been signed to one of my favourite labels out there, CR2, which is also home to the likes of the three deck wizard legend Carl Cox, house prodigy Mickey Slim and the one and only Popof, who released one of my favourite tunes of last year on CR2, Alcoolic.

However, today I'm here to talk about Nathan C, new blood in the scene whose been receiving a lot of love for his remix of Lily Allen's Everyones At It with Eddie Boy. However, that's just a precursor to his own work, which is seriously earth shattering stuff. I'm quite a fan of his tunes IKE and Make Me, which you can check out on his MySpace. They're very dark yet still accessible to the average technophobe and remind me of the everything good about Dusty Kid spliced with Lutzenkirchen. It seems the techno world of Berlin is infecting the rest of Europe in a really positive way with producers like Riva Starr, Noob and Adam Shaw really shaking things up.

I've also priviliged enough to give you a taster of things to come from Nathan, with an exclusive 320 version of The Trouble With Me, Nathan's take on the legendary track by Black Legend released back in 2000 as a cover version of the original classic by Barry White and Ray Parker Jr. There's the epic video of the original blow and of course the all important link to that MP£ mother below, which is ready for you to gobble up. To sum this tune up in a short sentence isn't really possible, you just have to imagine yourself @ Matter, at around 4am with those pounding floor strobes complimenting that savage kenetic bass I bum so much and everything starts to make sense.

As ever if you like what you hear then please get over to the artist's Beatport page and support them in the best way there is, but shoving some pocket money into their piggy bank's, because we could all do with some in these current times!
